Adnan Asdar Ali

Director-Partner Multinet Pvt. Ltd.

 Mr. Adnan is the founder-senior partner of Adnan Asdar Associates (AAA) – the leading private sector construction management firm in Pakistan. He is also a director-partner of Multinet, one of the three leading DSL service providers in Pakistan. He has managed the construction of several premier projects in Pakistan including Pearl Continental Hotel Lahore, ABN AMRO Bank Lahore and Karachi, Sui Southern Gas Company office in Karachi and MCB Towers in Lahore and Karachi.

He holds a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA. He brings unique project management experience to this endeavor.

Agha Shahid Majeed Khan

Collector Surveillance

Mr. Agha Shahid is currently working as the Collector Surveillance in Customs Department. He joined the Central Superior Services of Pakistan in 1990 and has since then been working for the Customs, Central Excise and Sales Tax Group in various capacities. Prior to this assignment, he served for the Government of Punjab for eight years as the district and divisional head of the Food Department. He has a Bachelor of Science (Aero-Sciences), Master in Administrative Sciences from the University of Punjab and Master of Commerce (Marketing) from University of Strathclyde (Glasgow). He has been visiting faculty member of Marketing at the University of Punjab, Iqra University Karachi and of Taxation Laws at the Hamdard University, Karachi.

Ahsan Imran Shaikh

CEO, Millat Equipment Ltd

 Mr. Ahsan Imran Shaikh is the Chief Executive of Millat Equipment Ltd. He possesses diverse experience covering production, quality control, marketing and project management. For the last seven years, he is working as part of the senior management of a large industrial concern in the automobile sector and participated in strategic planning and implementation programs. He has handled various turnkey projects that have made a significant financial contribution to the company.

He is a Mechanical Engineer (U.E.T., Lahore), Masters of Administrative Sciences (University of the Punjab, Lahore) and MBA (University of Bridgeport, CT, USA). He has professional affiliation with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Pakistan Engineering Council. Currently, he is the Chairperson LUMS-Executive Alumni Association (Marketing Council) and Life Member, Adventure Foundation of Pakistan. He brings project management, planning and implementation experience to this endeavor.

Dr. Arif Nazir Butt


Dr. Arif is a successful businessman and an educationalist. In addition to running successful business ventures in retail, real estate, and export-import businesses, he has been teaching at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) for the last 10 years. He is currently the Dean of the Suleman Dawood School of Business at LUMS where he teaches Organizational Behavior and Managerial Negotiation to the M.B.A. students. He regularly teaches the Executive Management Programs, has published numerous papers in international journals and lectured at several international conferences on subjects ranging from Negotiation, Conflict Resolution, NGO Management, Small to Medium Enterprise Development, and several other related subjects. Dr. Arif Nazir Butt holds a PhD in Management from the McGill University, Canada, M.B.A. from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore, M.S. Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, USA, and Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas, Austin. He brings first hand teaching expertise, NGO structuring background and on-the-ground management experience in Pakistan to this endeavor.

Dr. Shujaat Nadeem

Chairman of SAMBA Bank Pakistan

Dr. Shujaat is the Chairman of SAMBA Bank Pakistan. Before joining SAMBA in November 2003, he worked with Citigroup for 10 years, mostly holding the position of Managing Director for Middle East Sales and Trading Business. Prior to moving relocating to Middle East with Citigroup in August 2000, he worked in New York and London and was responsible for the Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Derivatives trading and structuring. He holds a Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. He has authored several papers in the field of Analog Integrated Circuit Design. He is a member of Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi, and Sigma Xi honor societies for high achievement in scientific fields. He is also a holder of Darlington award for co-authority one of the most quoted papers in the field of high-resolution analog to digital conversion.

Nadeem Babar

Ex-CEO, Orient Power Company

Mr. Nadeem is an internationally experienced professional in the energy sector. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Orient Power Company (Private) Limited Pakistan and Saba Power Company (Private) Limited. He has spent two decades in the United States including many years on Wall Street as an investment banker and in his last position was running a $4 billion division of a Fortune 100 energy company. He is already involved in the non-profit education sector in Pakistan for the last fifteen years through his family’s educational trust that runs schools with a total of 1,500 student enrollment. Mr. Nadeem Babar holds a M.S. from Stanford University, a B.A. from Columbia University and a B.S. from Columbia University. He brings rich management experience, development expertise, and international fundraising access to this endeavor.

Omar Khayyam Sheikh

CEO - Hadayatsons

Mr. Omar Khayyam began his professional career as an investment banker, first at Merrill Lynch in New York, and then as a Limited Partner at The Lodestar Group, a merchant banking boutique firm. He sat on the boards of various companies and oversaw the businesses, arranged re-financing and developed M&A prospects. In 1994, he returned to Pakistan to establish Hadayat Sons, a family-owned firm that imports, distributes and retails construction related products. Hadayat Sons is the exclusive importer of Kohler Plumbing Products, GE Home Appliances and Life Fitness Gym Equipment. He holds a B.A. from Columbia University New York, where he was awarded the John Jay Scholarship and graduated with the Leonard Pullman Award for Academic excellence and service to the College. His graduation thesis was on universalizing primary education in Pakistan. He also holds an Executive MBA from LUMS with a Silver Medal for Second Position in Class. He has had a long-term interest in primary education and brings private sector business experience and international fundraising exposure in addition to energy and vigor to this venture.
